IT Service Centre Specialist

A challenging opportunity has become available for an IT Service Centre Specialist in our Sydney office. The position on offer will provide the successful candidate with an opportunity to work for a dynamic organisation and work remotely as part of a larger team.
 
A strong customer focus and high level of interpersonal skills are paramount as is your ability to multi task and prioritise. You will also be responsible for managing and reporting on the end to end resolution of incidents including escalations, status monitoring and closure of requests according to processes.  
 
Experience:
  • 2+ years troubleshooting and maintaining PC's in a Windows environment. 
  • 2+ years experience with end user technology support. 
  • Experience using Windows family of Operating Systems, Windows XP to current 
  • Intermediate to advanced MS Office 
  • Knowledge of desktop, laptop, and printer troubleshooting 
  • Experience troubleshooting software programs and performance issues 
  • Sound experience in the use of incident management tools 
  • Exposure to the ITIL framework

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:
  • Sound experience in problem resolution in a PC/LAN environment 
  • Solid experience in user support, user training or LAN administration 
  • Sound ability to analyse trends and relate them to the existing network environment 
  • Sound knowledge of SOE principles and concepts
 
PERSONAL QUALITIES:
  • Self driven and able to undertake pro-active work when service requirements are low 
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal 
  • Positive and can do attitude with a customer focused approach in dealing with stakeholders 
  • Able to accept responsibility and follow up on issues  
  • Interest in learning and transferring knowledge

Village Manager

Maintenance Person/Gardener

Aveo Live Well, Australia’s leading provider of retirement lifestyles, has an exceptional opportunity for suitably experienced persons to join the lively and supportive Aveo team in South Australia, as part of the Aveo Live Well national network.
Aveo Crestview is an 87-unit independent-living retirement village located in Adelaide’s north-eastern suburbs, and operates under the Retirement Villages Act (SA) and ARVA Accreditation standards.

Due to the planned retirement of the full-time Village Manager/ Maintenance Person and the part-time Grounds-Person, we are seeking to appoint persons who are able to fill the requirements of these positions, with scope for a re-structure of responsibilities to suit the right applicants.

The Village Manager has overall responsibility for the Village, with the principal objective being to create a village environment which promotes the “Aveo – Live Well” philosophy, enhancing Aveo’s image as a leader in the retirement industry, and attracting future residents.

The position entails office administration, financial management, asset management including coordination of building and garden maintenance, liaison with residents, service providers and sales personnel, and compliance with legislation, accreditation standards and Aveo policy.

Some hands-on involvement with maintenance and gardening may be required depending on the mix of skills in the successful applicants.

The manager is also required to share an on-call roster with a team of Village Managers.

The Maintenance Person/Gardener is responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of the buildings, gardens and grounds, as directed by the Village Manager, and relevant skills and experience will be required.

On-site subsidised accommodation is currently provided for the Manager, but alternative arrangements may be negotiated to suit the right applicant.
