We work closely in association with councils, government agencies and environmental authorities, to ensure our developments effectively protect and enhance the natural and built environment.
We were one of the first Australian companies to work with Environment Australia, the Environment Protection Agency, Greening Australia and local council and community groups to develop a recovery plan for endangered flora, specifically the Emu Mountain She Oak, within FKP’s Peregian Springs residential community on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast.
We are proud to have been commended by the Environment Protection Agency and the Australian Greenhouse Office for our work in sustainable, energy efficient design for the WHK Horwarth Centre. This FKP developed and constructed building was one of the first 4.5 star greenhouse energy rated office buildings in Australia. The WHK Horwarth Centre is presently rated as a 4 star greenhouse energy office building, continuing to sustain an energy efficient plan.
FKP Construction Qld has a fully accredited quality assurance system in place as a design and construct builder under ISO 9001 : 2000. This system requires FKP Construction Qld to provide a consistently high standard of quality for our clients, and to comply with all applicable scripts and regulatory requirements.
FKP Construction Qld's quality assurance system is both internally and externally audited to meet best practice industry standards.
A recent Certification Audit on FKP Construction Qld Integrated Management System by SGS was completed during the 14-18th April 2008.
Full certification was granted for the ‘Management of the Design and Construction of Building Projects’ to the following AS/NZS standards:
